Aon’s Cyber Awareness Training helps organizations combat a key cyber risk – human error
TORONTO, November 17, 2020 – Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, today announced a platform that will help companies of all sizes enhance their cyber risk posture, Aon’s Cyber Awareness Training.
Aon’s Cyber Awareness Training is a comprehensive employee training program. Employees will learn about common cyber risks and how to incorporate best practices into their everyday operations. Cybercriminals often take advantage of employee error, making cyber security training an essential part of any company’s cyber security strategy.
“Even before the global pandemic outbreak, cyber criminals were becoming increasingly active and sophisticated in their approach,” says Katharine Hall, Leader, Cyber Solutions in Canada at Aon. “Now with the increase in employees working from home, employers are facing a much higher risk of succumbing to ransomware and social engineering schemes than ever before. This training course will help employers understand security vulnerabilities and help them mitigate the associated risks.” Developed by Canadian incident response leaders, the team leveraged their years of experience to create the Cyber Awareness Training platform's 12 learning modules. The modules are online, on-demand, and each takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Some topics covered include developing strong passwords, avoiding phishing attempts, safely using public WiFi, and reporting an incident quickly and efficiently.
Company administrators will have access to program analytics, allowing them to monitor the progress of all users. Managers can also track the progress of their team members.
